  • how it’s helpful to think about prioritising ourselves, just as much as we automatically prioritise everyone else at Christmas
  • how we want our family to be happy at Christmas, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of our total exhaustion as mums
  • how mums can take the pressure off themselves in practical terms through:
    • self-compassion
    • booking in time for you in your calendar over Christmas (and giving it as much importance as you do for the festive events you book for your family)
    • asking for help – we shouldn’t have to do it all

I live in South Wales with my husband and 3 children, and when my kids are finally asleep I love nothing better than getting cosy and reading, or doing some crochet.
